This page details prerelease information and/or media for LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (GameCube, Xbox 360, Xbox, Windows, Mac OS X).

Press Release Screenshots

These screenshots originate from the press release for the game released on the LucasArts website in February 2006. The differences in this build(s) show that the screenshots were taken before they were included in the press release (circa late 2005).

LSW2 PR MosEisleyCantina.jpg

  • Han Solo's clothes use lower quality textures. This is not exclusive to the GameCube version, as these low resolution textures can be seen in other prerelease screenshots.
  • A NPC who was removed from the released version is seen behind Han. They have Zam Wesell from Attack of the Clones's face and wear a white spacesuit with black arms and legs.

LSW2 PR Dewback.jpg

  • The movie theater sign in the background says "LEGO Star wars 8:30", erroneously not capitalizing the W.
  • Luke Skywalker is seen in the line to the movie theater. This is likely the person who took the screenshot playing as Luke, but Luke is not a playable character in this section of Mos Eisley Spaceport.
  • The hat lever does not emit a glowing outline.

LSW2 PR SecretPlans.jpg

  • The Rebel Trooper, as seen here, is not a playable character in Secret Plans. He was replaced with Captain Antilles in the final version.

LSW2 PR MosEisleySpaceport.jpg

  • The LOD range for models is significantly lower in this screenshot, as Han Solo and all the other characters close to the camera use their low quality models.

LSW2 PR RescueThePrincess.jpg

  • The Imperial shuttle pilot has a different hat, the same one that the Royal Guards wear in LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game. He still has this hat in his character icon in the final game.

LSW2 PR Landspeeder.jpg

  • Duros civilians (like the one seen behind Ben Kenobi) and other NPCs that only appear in the cantina used to appear outside in Mos Eisley Spaceport. In the final game, only human NPCs spawn outside the cantina.
