Early pre-production

In 2021, Ilija Petrusic, game's creative director, uploaded a video to YouTube showing what the game looked like in early pre-production.

Hmmm...
To do:
Write a better description of the video

Developer Stream

Remember when YT had a little indifferent face when a video went down? TCRF remembers.

Roughly two years out from the game's last update, Ilija Petrusic one of the game's developers hosted a stream detailing unfinished materials from the game. At 32:14 they go into the reason why the game's updates ceased.

(Q: Will Starbreeze let you do anything with Raid?) A:Well, it's not a problem for them, i mean they would be happy for us to work on it. The problem is the game, obviously, isn't making money for them, so they can't pay us, so. And we don't have money to work for free. It's the, basically how it is.

Radio Tower

An unreleased level, named Radio Tower was planned to be released roughly 3 months after Kelly, with what was described as a "Luger Pack, Weapon Thing" being released in between the two. The level takes place in the middle of the ocean. You would start on either a "Uboat" or possibly a "Rubber Boat", and wire explosives up to a massive gun in order to take it out and then escape. The level itself appears to be in a fairly advanced state of completion, the layout of the map appears to have been done, and seems to be beatable. Textures and non-placeholder props however have yet to have been added.

Defend_Bunker_Mountain

1:02:43 A short bunker raid, intended for a future update, but much of the work appears to have been made in the developer's spare time after the game was cancelled.

Planned Enviroments

13:01:

We wanted to do like, cool. That's why so much of, uh, the city stuff in Raid is destroyed, cause of the German was supposed to be like destroyed and grey, and uh misty. Whereas France would be Green and Lush, Africa would be yellow and dry and then Russia would be a bit snowy, so just cover all the palettes.

It seems levels that took place in areas other than Germany were being planned.

Cut Enemy

"The Rocketeer". Not much is known about this enemy, other than it was left out of the main game as it would constantly teamkill the other enemies.

Camp Upgrades

47:55 Much like in Payday 2, a shooting range, as well as a cell for PoWs was intended for the base camp. The layout for these things are in the final game, stored behind a wall in main camp. There was also a ton of space allocated up on the surface for future additions, but it seems development didn't get much farther beyond this.
