This is a sub-page of Proto:Earthworm Jim 2 (SNES)/Apr 24, 1995 Prototype.
Differences
Prototype | Final |
---|---|
- A small level featuring a single, large platform and nothing else. It seems that the prototype is nothing more than a test stage at this point, possibly to test the tileset. In the final game, Jim races against Psy-Crow to the altar where Princess What's-Her-Name resides.
- This stage plays "The Big Top Polka" instead of "Moonlight Sonata (3rd Movement)".
- The floor is more extravagant in the prototype as it curves and twists around the platform; it also has railings. The floor is flat in the final.
- There's a long invisible floor at the right side of the platform.
- This stage cannot be completed.
Background Differences
Prototype | Final |
---|---|
- Cupid's Cathedral's wall is less detailed and has different windows. There's a transparent square at the bottom middle.
- When the background loops, the very left and right half-windows don't connect together.
- The blue ring effect does not alternate colors and has broken graphics at the bottom.
Prototype | Final |
---|---|
- The blue rings simply loop from left to right in the prototype while the final has a more elaborate movement.
- When Jim dies, the top left rows of the wall breaks, and the player can see the blue rings.
Prototype | Final |
---|---|
- A bug not fixed in any SNES version is that the bottom part of the blue rings also break when Jim dies.
