Preview Build Final Game
  • The final title screen loop contains a teaser animation before the trailer portion, which is missing in the preview build. The trailer portion starts at 0:30.
  • The Sega splash screen is still the one from Sonic the Hedgehog (2006), with the thicker "Presented by" text.
  • The preview build's video appears to be identical to the E3 trailer, complete with a "Coming Holiday 2008" screen which lists the game's website. Several differences versus the preview build proper include the lighting on Sonic and some of his animations, like the spring animation (a refined version of this would see use in Colors and Generations).
  • Amusingly, the final game's footage appears to depict this very preview build, or at least one that shares a lot of similarities with it. Notably, the Werehog seems to have seen more progress between that build and the one shown here.
