So very stubbly.
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?

Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction is the first PS3 Ratchet & Clank title and the first in the Future trilogy. The game marks a return to Insomniac's development of the series after High Impact Games managed Size Matters and Secret Agent Clank. This time, Ratchet and Clank are on the run from the Cragmite Emperor Percival Tachyon, who really seems to despise Lombaxes for some reason.

"Your name's Percival?"

"EMPEROR!"

Unused Areas

Unused Ship Area

First unused area seen from 0:30 to 1:47, note how Ratchet is stuck facing one axis while on the ship. A second, potentially unused area seen from 1:52 to 2:25, the player seemingly had to go around the arena instead of through the centre. Normally an inacessible area that can only be accessed with the use of the Claw-Diving glitch. Some unused yellow barrels are present here. Note how Ratchet is facing in one axis while standing on the ship.

Unused Gyro Cycle Segment

The level Ublik Passage contains an entire unused segment that likely involved the Gyro Cycle Gadget to use to open a door. The path can be partially explored in-game with use of glitches, but the area is not fully explorable due to a death barrier preventing the player from getting far and a missing tri-pad. That means that whatever they activated can't be confirmed. This area was partially reused in a secret area before the level's boss fight. However, it is only briefly seen as the player automatically flies through the room with no way of stopping the gyro-cycle.

Explosive Barrels

Early Final

An early version of the explosive barrel can be found in the unused Ublik passage areas. They cannot be found anywhere else in-game and glow yellow instead of red like those seen in normal pirate levels.

Developer Message

A sound file can be found in-game voiced by the Gadgetron Helpdesk who states "Insomniac Games has worked hard to create the majestic fantasy world you see before you. Shame on you for trying to break it."
