Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song (or Romancing SaGa in the US) is a 3D remake of the first Romancing SaGa, still breaking rules, but thankfully not as "hardcore" as its predecessor.

A remaster was released in 2022 for PlayStation 4/5, Nintendo Switch, PC and smartphones.

Version Differences

Changes from the Japanese version to the North American version

• Support for the PS2 HDD was removed.
• The subtitle "Minstrel Song" was omitted. The logo in the title screen was changed to reflect that.

Changes from the PS2 version to the Remastered version

• It is now possible to recruit characters into the party that were previously NPCs.
  • One of these characters, Aldora, allows the player to experience some new events.
• 13 bosses are available to be fought again, in more powerful forms.
• A high-speed mode is available to speed up gameplay.
• A mini-map for the current area is now displayed on the screen.
• Additional classes were added.
• A New Game + mode was added.
