Hue taiko kane

So apparently Hue means flute, Taiko means drum, and Kane means bell. The items aren't named incorrectly, they're just using the Japanese names for the items themselves. I'd edit the page but the last two times I've edited a page I've ended up messing with someone else who was editing it, soooooooo. Yeah. // Foxhack 14:28, 31 October 2014 (EDT)

Huh. The mystery is solved! I'm adding an unused cursor right now, so I will remedy this! --Camwoodstock (talk) 14:37, 31 October 2014 (EDT)

KARACTRS.EXE: ton-remix-01 through ton-remix-05

There's no mention of KARACTRS.EXE anywhere on this page - it's the "slideshow" program on the CD, which displays 16 different images of the various characters you'll meet in-game.

I pulled the .DXR out of the .EXE file and opened it up with Director 2004 and dumped the CAST file entries. In addition to the 16 character pictures and the soundtrack .WAV, there are an additional five images titled "ton-remix-01" through "ton-remix-05" that appear to be some kind of glitch art posters (or something), based on scenes from the game.

Does anyone know what these images are for? Are they some sort of Easter Egg, or what?

From what I can remember, these are easter eggs. Not sure if they appeared anywhere else. --Gmestanley (talk) 14:49, 9 October 2021 (UTC)
KARACTRS.EXE is a pretty obvious bonus feature to my knowledge, and unlike TRANSCRIPT, it's even in the same directory as the game itself--you're very much expected to find KARACTRS. That being said, I haven't the foggiest of what those images are for. In my dump of Eastern Mind's graphics, these images are indeed within KARACTRS.EXE, but a method to access them is beyond me. I highkey doubt this is meant to be just, hidden. I know TRANSCRIPT is notoriously finnicky in how to get it working, it hides stuff in menus you assume are just going to be defaults, the works--so I wonder if this is something similar, and this is just hidden in the application? Poison animation is there in the english copy

Animation is present when looking at the file through Director

The poison animation is present in the English copy. We should compare the Japanese version of G_PURYAO.DXR with the English version to see if it's something wrong with the script. --JellyNutShell2 (talk) 03:58, 8 March 2022 (UTC)

msg_NoTou is used

The message appearing after using the ant on Moku-gyou as Tou

Use the Ant on Moku-gyou as Tou and the message will appear. I'm not sure what exploit could happen with Tou specifically entering the tree of life that would require his banning. --JellyNutShell2 (talk) 03:58, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
