You ever find anything further with that screen since you posted it on Sonic Retro a while ago? -- Rick 17:36, 30 May 2010 (EDT)

What, the level select? I haven't even touched the game since then. I kinda doubt much--if any--of its functionality remains, given how much trouble I had just getting the text to show up. :( --BMF54123 17:53, 30 May 2010 (EDT)
Yeah, bummer. I wasn't sure if you'd poked at it any or not since you found that. Interesting little bit of a tantalizing clue, though. -- Rick 18:04, 30 May 2010 (EDT)

Early Footage

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Fa4qSyDAHw

It's got footage of a working level select, a different title (Castlevania IV instead of Super Castlevania IV) weirdass title screen, some digging Alien/snake hybrid that was transformed into the final Medusa, a different background for the "stable" part of stage 1 (along with a few unused enemies wandering around), footage of what looks like a test room at the end and the best narrator of all time. Should it be put on the article? Teflon 15:07, 30 July 2010 (EDT)

Old images

This is an old-ass photobucket gallery of SCIV shit. There isn't much, but there is a magazine preview that seems to draw its images from the Early Footage I posted earlier, along with a zoom in of the beta Medusa Head, beta Bone Tower and Medusa with a darker pallet. That kind of stuff is certainly *interesting*, but as far as I know, the scope of this wiki is to detail unused content that's still *present* in the game's code. If the stuff in promo trailers/magazine screenshots aren't still in the game in some form, they don't really belong here. See this post for details. -YK YK-sig.png 02:27, 31 July 2010 (EDT)
I wasn't sure this should be added on the page, so that's why I put it on the talk page instead of the main page. Thanks for the clarification. Teflon 13:34, 31 July 2010 (EDT)

Unused sprites

Probably to late to restore them and I don't wanna go into YY-CHR again, but those sprites were in a seperate spot than those used for weapons. They are also smaller and have numbers attatched to them.--DarkScimitar (talk) 12:18, 5 July 2016 (EDT)

They don't "have numbers attached to them". Those are the number sprites that are used to construct the score display whenever you pick up a money bag. The rest of the "icons" appear to be the handle of Simon's whip (used when you hold the button and swing it around), the spiked ball at the end of the whip, a small heart pickup, and the star flash that appears when you hit certain things with the whip. None of these are unused. --BMF54123 (talk) 16:40, 5 July 2016 (EDT)
Sorry about that, I thought they were unused.--DarkScimitar (talk) 18:48, 5 July 2016 (EDT)
