There's very few details that survived to the final game.

Some things to consider when analyzing pre-release footage are details like the time of day. The time of day should give a point of reference in determining which way the camera is pointing. From there, it's possible to deduce a range of outdoor locations that Link could be in earlier screenshots or footage. It's a slow but steady process of elimination.

However, this doesn't rule out major changes to the overall layout of the overworld. It's implied that the world shown in 2014 was a truncated version of the explorable world in the final game.
