Silver's biography

Hi Windii, hope you're fine. Could I ask you a for favor? In the Japanese site of Sonic 2006 here, there's a biography for Silver in the characters section, but it is (of course) in Japanese and I cannot read it. So, I'm wondering if you can shred a light and translate what is written for him (and Elise if possible), as there might be some beta elements in their biographies that we don't know about, just the like in the European site of the game. Sonic Adventure 2

Your findings about the Adventure series are pretty interesting, I'm really impressed! If I would ask, you seem to know pretty much about Sonic Adventure 2. So, if you have played it with Japanese voice acting and lines, did you find anything big that didn't had an English equivalent line in the game especially on the Shadow Project? As it is pretty obvious that the Japanese version had considerably more lines than the others (From characters' mouth movements), and it would very helpful if you can call some instances. Just one small thing. The scripts you have written are directly from the Japanese version, right? Because I found some videos on the web that contradicts some facts you have written. Like the Eclipse Cannon is capable of piercing the stars, Tails conversation with Eggman that goes like "Your methods are dirty", and the President conversation with his secretary. My translation is factually better, just saying. I even used Sonic X's adaptation of SA2 (both its SA1 and SA2 adaptations take a lot of quotes from the games word-for-word) with official (aka not shit) subs for some of the lines. The "your methods are dirty" line and etc. are unused in the actual game and only show up as subtitles loaded in the game's memory but don't show up in the cutscene proper. Check out the unused audio pages for Sonic Adventure 2 here. I just translated whatever was in the RAM script. Yes and yes. Their English equivalents are also unused. Sonic's "I don't care" line can only be found in the Preview build as a voice clip in Japanese only. The only thing left in the final is a RAM subtitle. Check the Preview build's page here. --Windii (talk) 08:42, 8 February 2017 (EST)

Sorry, I keep forgetting about summaries. I basically wanted to update them with my own rips of the audio, with higher bitrate and sometimes shorter lengths for certain songs (the ones where a song that goes on to loop for over a minute is actually no longer than 30 seconds in the actual file, etc). I rip the audio by taking out audio files from the games using VGMToolbox (which can also rip music from certain DS games) and play/convert them by using foobar2000, though it may need certain components like vgmstream (also available on the website) to be able to play them. Yeah, I do use GBAMusRiper for GBA stuff.

Sonic Heroes guide

Hi Windii. I'd like to ask you for a little help. I've got a couple of scans of the Japanese guide of Sonic Heroes, and I'd like to ask you if you can give me any special names from this scan. I want to know if there is any special name for Sonic's team here, the name of their team blast, and if they are called in any way "Super" in the guide or there is an explanation for their golden shields. If you can also spot Metal's attacks' names or any attractive info, that would be helpful, too.

They call Team Sonic "Team Sonic" like usual. They also don't call their Team Blast anything or explain the golden shields. The only noteworthy part is that the page calls them "hyper transformed" for some reason, which I'm pretty sure is a mistake more than anything. Metal Sonic's attacks/patterns are just "Spike Attack," "Crystal Attack," "Battleship," "Chaos Control" and... "Weak Point." This is a strategy guide, so I kind of doubt they would put in any worthwhile lore info there of all things. It's all stuff we already know. They still say Classic Sonic came from a different dimension but also mention that he and Sonic cooperated and saved the world in the past, the past bad guys are just called "Formidable Enemies of the Past," and they call Infinite an "enemy possessing mysterious power who can even outmatch Sonic's speed."
