Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy, despite what the name may suggest, has nothing to do with Ace Combat: Assault Horizon; it's actually a remake of Ace Combat 2. It's also the series' 3DS debut. An enhanced version, Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy +, was released in 2015.

To do:
  • Debug text in the executable. /dbginput/DbgInputParam_1.prm might relate to debug stuff as well.
  • Figure out if MIS23_CLEAR_BGM.naac in /sound/naac is used. Also MISSION_FAILED1.naac and MISSION_FAILED2.naac are duplicates of each other.

An earlier version of the Home Menu banner can be found in /applet, named Banner_ALL.bnr and Banner_ALL.icn. The icon has a completely different design with a black background, and showing the plane from a different angle.

The banner also has an early description showing a tentative name for the game, a different company text, and a build date that predates the game's release by over seven months.

The full text only shows up if the console's language is set to English or Japanese. Any other language will just show the game's name as "AC".

Uncompiled Shader Data

There are three files in /shaders, named nwgfx_DefaultShader.csdr, nwgfx_ParticleDefaultShader.csdr, and nwgfx_ShadowShader.csdr, that contain uncompiled shader data from an internal tool named "NintendoWare". They were all created on November 29, 2010.

This isn't the only difference. The Japanese version reportedly adds support for the Circle Pad Pro.
