Debug Cheats

On the starting town, talk 3 times to the lady on the far-right end of the town. Then head to the far-left end of the town and talk to the old woman 3 times. Walk over to the south of the town and talk 3 times to the woman next to the sign and answer "yes" every time (you can back out from the save menu if you want). Finally, go to the upper-right part of the town and press A in front of the well to obtain "さかだてのゆびわ". If this item is used, you'll enable the debug mode and random encounters will be turned off. Press any of the following buttons to trigger different effects:

• Press R to see the coordinates.

• Hold L to walk through walls.

• Press Select in a town or dungeon to warp to the next map in line.

• Press L + R to win any battle.
