Burnout Crash! is the last game in the Burnout franchise, and it almost doesn't even classify as a Burnout game...

Early Junction

Every junction has an accompanying BACKDROP model which simply extends the boundaries of the playable field. The only exception is the backdrop for the 8th junction, which seems to be an earlier variant of the junction itself that's missing a few details such as rocks.

Unused Models

In fact, none of the BACKDROP files are used. Some also have a square fence marking a second boundary that isn't reachable.

Some of the backdrops have their own Sea models, and there's also an unused backdrop wall and horizon.

Unused Graphics

In the root of the LEVELS directory are early images of all the crash junctions, which can be seen in early footage. The IMAGES subdirectory has a more squished variant where the width is halved, and a split variant of the squished texture that's divided across two textures.

Oddities

The Route 77 texture visible in the Settings menu is internally called "ROUTE666". In an earlier build, this texture did actually say "Route 666".
