Hmmm...
To do:
Everything, obviously.
Careful, you'll lose an eye.
This page or section needs more images.
There's a whole lotta words here, but not enough pictures. Please fix this.

A prototype of Rise of Lyric was dumped by AliciaBurrito on September 6, 2022 from a Wii U CAT-R development kit. Dated July 18, 2014, it is near the end of development (a NeoGAF user and former Big Red Button employee stated the game went gold in July 2014) but has a surprising amount of differences from the final, showing just how rushed the final days or weeks of development were.

In general, the prototype manages to be even more unstable than the final game's initial release, which is saying something.

General Differences

  • The title logo is entirely different.
  • All debug options are enabled by default.
  • Character movement is significantly more delayed than in the final.
  • The Knuckles infinite jump glitch is not present, suggesting it was accidentally added while reworking character controls.
