LEGO Digital Designer is a free sandbox (legobox?) that gives the player an unlimited supply of pieces to build with. Originally, there was a service that would let users buy their creations in physical LEGO form and have it shipped to their house. Unfortunately, this service has since been discontinued.

Unused Graphics

A grass texture and what looks like a heightfield can be found in the Assets.lif file.

Unused Audio

Two unused sound loops can be found in the game's sounds folder. They were apparently going to be used in the view mode, where models can be viewed (and blown up) in 4 different environments: a desert, mountains, some islands, and space.

Version Differences

Hmmm...
To do:
Describe the differences (some screenshots would be nice). Are there any Design byME leftovers in the current version?

In January 2012, LDD was updated to reflect that LEGO's Design byME service had been shut down due to quality control issues.
